With the EFI system, poor idling, shaking or even engine stalling, the causes of which require increasingly rare expert knowledge in the context of KE-Jetronic diagnostics, are a thing of the past!
The M102 EFI conversion kit for W201 190E & W124 as KE-Jetronic replacement
Instead, your new electronic injection system scores points with simple diagnostics on your laptop or even via your smartphone with the MaxxECU Sport. The setup is much simpler than the original KE-Jetronic system, as complex components such as the air flow meter including potentiometer, the fuel distributor and the engine and ignition control units are completely eliminated.
Instead, the MaxxECU takes full control of the injection and ignition, which not only delivers more power and increases reliability, but also allows your engine to run more efficiently thanks to optimized mixture preparation. To ensure stable idling, the original idle valve and its installation position are retained and controlled directly via the MaxxECU.
The kit includes all the necessary components, including high-quality sensors, ignition system and custom-made wiring harness, which can be individually adapted to your needs on request.
Modern injection system for classic Mercedes
The M102 EFI kit is ideal for Mercedes drivers who want to modernize their classic without losing the character of the vehicle: More power, lower consumption and maintenance-friendly technology make the M102 EFI kit the perfect choice to make your W201 or W124 ready for the next decades. All conversions are completely reversible and the EFI conversion disappears for the most part under the original air filter box in the version with ignition module.
Configure your M102 8V EFI kit for W201 and W124
Here we want to give you a brief guide to the various options you can choose from.
Auxiliary pump
First select whether your vehicle has an auxiliary pump for the hydraulically locking ASD differential or self levelling supsension on the rear axle. In the case of the SLS, decommissioning the system may also be an option. We offer appropriate suspension kits and block-off solutions for this.
Ignition system
Then configure the right ignition system for your project. The simplest variant is the centralized ignition module, which supplies the individual cylinders in Wasted Spark mode using ignition cables. To implement sequential ignition, you have the option of choosing between a coil-on-plug variant or individual ignition coils mounted on the valve cover. We recommend coil-on-plug in setups with a standard exhaust manifold and individual ignition coils in conjunction with exhaust manifolds or with a planned future turbo conversion with a turbo exhaust manifold.
Engine control unit
The MaxxECU engine control unit is the recommended ECU. You will receive the appropriate wiring harness with pre-wired plug as part of the kit. You can choose from several versions of the control unit. For a simple setup that replaces the KE-Jetronic and looks as true to the original as possible, choose the
On request, you can also get a kit without a control unit to use other options such as Ecumaster or Haltech. In this case, you will receive a wiring harness with labeled wires that you can pin into your plug.
Tuning your M102 EFI kit
In addition to purchasing the EFI kit, you also have the exclusive option of booking a basemap tailored to your setup, remote startup of your engine with a check of all sensors, as well as tuning on the dyno. This saves you valuable dyno time and gives you a professional tune tailored to your engine. Contact us for a comprehensive offer.
Further modifications for even more performance
We can help you combine the kit with a whole range of additional modifications to get the most out of your M102 EFI conversion. We can create a fully customized M102 tuning package with manifolds and exhaust systems for more power, a reinforced valve train for higher revs and more torque as well as intake solutions for higher air volume and a rich sound.
Get in touch with us with your conversion plans and we will help you to put together the optimum setup for your project.
