The new hydraulically locking differential ASD pressure accumulator as a replacement for A1245530010 is made of high-strength steel and protected against corrosion, oil and weather with resistant paint. The nitrogen-filled reservoir stores the pressure built up by the hydraulic pump so that it is always available for the hydraulic locking differential.
A defective ASD pressure accumulator often manifests itself through endless pulsing of the pressure line leading from the pump to the unit or the ASD warning light in the instrument cluster. This is because the pump is continuously trying to build up the required pressure, but the defective accumulator cannot absorb and buffer it.
The pressure accumulator is compatible with many vehicles of the Mercedes W201, W124, R129, W126, W140 chassis and is supplied with a suitable sealing ring. Removal and installation is carried out using the 22 mm hexagon on the accumulator.
