Equip your Mercedes R231 SL350, SL 500 and SL63 AMG with a Quaife ATB limited slip differential and benefit from significantly improved traction, more precise handling and increased driving safety – completely maintenance-free and with a lifetime warranty.
How the Quaife LSD works
The Quaife Automatic Torque Biasing (ATB) differential works purely mechanically via precision-manufactured helical gears and shafts that automatically redirect the torque to the wheel with better grip. Unlike clutch-type LSDs, the Quaife locking differential has no wearing parts and operates silently without chattering. It requires no special gear oils or modified maintenance intervals and is backed by a lifetime warranty for road and motorsport.
At Home on the Road and on the Track
In everyday use, the Quaife impresses with its unobtrusive, noiseless operation combined with improved traction, more stable braking maneuvers and reduced understeer or oversteer. At track days, it delivers maximum acceleration out of corners, prevents wheel spin and enables higher cornering speeds. The differential never “locks” abruptly, but operates smoothly and predictably – a decisive advantage at the limit.

About Quaife
Quaife Engineering has been manufacturing high-performance transmission components for motorsport in the UK since 1965. With over 100,000 units sold and the trust of OEMs such as Ford, Lotus, BMW and GM, Quaife has established itself as the industry standard.
As rpmdepot, we import Quaife locking differentials to Germany and supply customers throughout Europe and worldwide.
We also offer you the option of installing the Quaife lock and overhauling your differential at the same time. On request, we can have your differential conveniently collected from your home or workshop and you will receive the ready-to-install differential back. We can also take this opportunity to rework the output flanges, which may be necessary on some models.
