The throttle bodies of the Mercedes M104 six-cylinder, M119 V8 and M120 V12 engines are known for problems with their wiring and the servomotor, which manifest in problems with engine running, idling or misfiring, as the sheathing of the cables disintegrates over time. This often triggers the ASR warning lamp to light up and limp home mode to be activated, where the full engine speed can no longer be used.

We therefore offer you a thorough repair of your throttle valve at a fixed price with the following scope of repair. The throttle body is first checked and thoroughly cleaned on arrival. The throttle body is then fitted with a new wiring harness made from more robust cables than the original and a new connector. Certain types of throttle bodies that are known to have problems with their servomotor are also fitted with a new motor. If more extensive repairs are required that go beyond this fixed price offer, this will be discussed with you after the intake inspection.

After a final check, the throttle body is ready for installation and will be sent to you or your workshop.
