Each kit ships is available with a German TÜV parts certificate (Teilegutachten) documenting the engineering specs. Acceptance for road use in Norway depends on your local Statens Vegvesen inspection station, so we recommend confirming requirements before fitting.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What is the total cost in NOK to my door?
Our checkout displays prices in EUR with Norwegian VAT added at the end of the order. Your bank applies the EUR/NOK exchange rate at the moment of payment, so the NOK total depends on that day’s rate. If you would like an indicative NOK quote before ordering, contact us and we will price the kit at the current rate.
Will I get hit with customs fees at the door?
No. We are VOEC-registered with Skatteetaten, so VAT is collected and remitted at our end. Customs paperwork is filed correctly. The only thing PostNord does is hand you the box.
How long does delivery to Norway take?
For in-stock kits: typically 4 to 8 business days from order. Custom-built kits (classic black spring variant, motorsport spec, KW Competition) are made to order at the KW factory, with lead times that vary by spec. We confirm a concrete delivery estimate before you commit.
Will my Norwegian inspection station accept the kit?
Each KW kit ships with a German TÜV parts certificate (Teilegutachten) documenting the engineering specs. This is recognised documentation in many European countries, but the final approval for road use sits with your local Statens Vegvesen inspection station. We strongly recommend contacting them with the Teilegutachten before fitting if you intend to use the car on Norwegian roads.
Can I install the kit myself?
If you are comfortable with spring compression and a torque wrench, yes. If not: most classic Mercedes installs are 4 to 8 hours of garage work. We strongly recommend a four-wheel alignment afterwards.
My car has SLS / hydraulic self-levelling. Can I still fit a KW kit?
Yes. We include the SLS deactivation hardware free of charge with kits for SLS-equipped chassis (S124, W140, certain W201). The hydraulic system stays in place but is bypassed. Long-term we recommend full removal, and we are happy to advise on that path.
Do you ship just dampers, or only complete kits?
Both. For some chassis (W201, W124) we offer the KW V3 dampers as a stand-alone set. The use case: your car is on period-correct aftermarket lowering springs (e.g. era H&R or Eibach) and you want modern adjustable damping without changing the spring setup. This matters for cars where you want to satisfy historical or vintage registration criteria that require period-correct components, since the modern KW coilover springs would not fit that profile but the dampers can. Note this works with aftermarket period springs, not factory springs. Complete coilover kits are available for all listed chassis. If unsure which is right for your project, ask us.
