This lightweight flywheel from Atec is equipped with a 60-2 trigger pattern and is therefore a reliable solution for determining the crankshaft position for EFI conversions of Mercedes M102 16V engines.
Reliability meets high performance
This method is more reliable than the cheaper solution where a trigger wheel is mounted on the crankshaft pulley, as the vibrations and load on the crankshaft can lead to a deviating measurement result, especially in highly stressed racing engines. In addition, the flywheel reduces the rotational mass compared to the standard part A1020301405 and thus ensures better throttle response and faster engine speed changes.
