This set of sports dampers is aimed at drivers who want to drive their 190 in a sporty manner on the road or take their first steps on the track at trackdays or other motorsports events.

Advantage Shortened Housing

Thanks to shortened damper housings, the dampers can work correctly in combination with lowering springs even at high amounts of lowering. This prevents the body from touching down on the damper. Thanks to the two-pipe system design with high and low-speed valves, the sports dampers offer good response characteristics even on the relatively lightweight W201. In addition, they are 28-way adjustable in the rebound stage so that you can find the correct firmness level for your riding style using the simple adjustment mechanism. The shortened special dampers are manufactured by hand exclusively for rpmdepot customers by the Spax in England – a company with tons of motorsports heritage.

Shortened Dampers for W201 Evo Conversions

The dampers are particularly advantageous when converting a W201 to Evo 1 or Evo 2 body kits. The large wheel arches create more space for the wheel/tyre package and the cut out fenders allow the car to ride significantly lower. With other dampers, however, you quickly reach the limits and the body can rest on the damper depending on the height. Choose the 60mm lowering springs for a harmonious look that is still not too low to be driven on the road.

This Evo conversion with 6-cylinder engine uses the sports shock absorbers with 60mm springs and 4-point spring pad.
