With this complete set of MRE valve spring assemblies, you can make your M102 16V valve train fit for more extreme camshafts. They can be used in Mercedes 190E 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 including the evolution models and are the right choice for all projects from road cars to historic racing cars, as the spring packs have been extensively tested in all MRE engines with modified camshafts right up to genuine DTM racing engines.
You will receive 16 spring packs, each consisting of a super-light, coated titanium spring plate, a double spring that allows over 3mm more cam lift with the same installation length, and an adapted lower spring plate.
This combination allows you to use camshafts up to the last DTM 1993 level without having to re-mill the contact surfaces of the lower spring plates. This allows you to take full advantage of a modified intake, save weight in the valve train and use a larger rev range.
However, you can also use them as an improved replacement for the single spring A1020530320 and the double spring A1020530022 and A1020530420, which are no longer available, as part of a standard overhaul of your cylinder head. In both scenarios, the improved spring assemblies increase the reliability and resilience of your setup.
