The three-piece magnesium motorsports oil pan with windage tray for Mercedes M102 16V engines in the 190E 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 models provides superior lubrication for your engine, enables a lower center of gravity and saves weight thanks to its manufacturing from lightweight magnesium material.

The oil pan corresponds to the final DTM version of 1992 and is the result of continuous further development to replace older, less effective oil pan designs.

With the motorsports oil pan, you protect your investment in a high-performance, overhauled engine with a reliable oil supply that is optimized in comparison to other oil pans.

Improved lubrication

The geometry of the oil sump ensures that enough oil is available for intake, even in extreme situations such as when using slick and semi-slick tires. Thanks to the included windage tray with oil srcaper, foaming in the oil is prevented, a constant oil supply is guaranteed and friction and heat in the engine are reduced to minimize wear on bearings and other components. The oil pan also allows you to easily connect the external oil return line without the need for welding.

Historically correct

The oil pan is equivalent to the 1992 DTM units supplied by AMG to the teams using Mercedes 190E 16V models and is therefore suitable for the construction of a historically correct racing car. It replaces the AMG assembly consisting of the oil sump upper part R01520104, the oil sump consisting of R015201053 and R015201063 as well as the windage tray R015201014. On request, you can also obtain the oil suction assembly with an adapted oil suction pipe A1021800952.

Compatibility

The oil pan is suitable for racing cars, track tools or even road vehicles with M102 16V engines whose owners want to equip their engine with the best possible oil lubrication system.

Notes

When installing the oil pan, the oil suction pipe must be shortened. We offer you an optional variant of the oil pan including a matching oil suction assembly consisting of suction pipe and bracket. If you send in the original oil pipe from your engine to us within 6 weeks of receiving the oil pan, we will reimburse you with a €200 rpmdepot gift card, which you can redeem with your next order.

The installation of the sump should be carried out by an engine builder. The sump must be cleaned during installation.
