Shorten your shifter throw by up to 25% by replacing the shift levers in the shifter assembly with this set. Your gear changes will be faster and more precise.

Notes

If not already done, the bushings of the shift linkage must be replaced with rigid bushings at the same time in order not to impair the function of the levers. We recommend our complete set that also replaces the gearbox-side bushings.

The extended shift arms are suitable for all 190E 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 with the Getrag 717.404 manual transmission and are not compatible with other models. (e.g. 717.450 from W124 300E-24)

The shifting effort increases by about 10% due to the conversion and can be brought back towards the original shifting feel using our extended shift lever.

The following values serve as a starting point for adjusting the shift rods that connect the gearshift bracket and the gearbox:
Shift rod reverse gear, 1st gear: extend approx. 1mm (180° clockwise rotation)
Shift rod 4th, 5th gear: shorten approx. 2mm (360° counterclockwise rotation)
Shift rod 2nd, 3rd gear: usually no adjustment necessary
