So the ECU Knows Where the Crankshaft Is
On an EFI conversion the ECU needs an exact signal for where the crankshaft currently is and how fast it is turning. The crankshaft trigger kit for the M102 8V delivers exactly that: a trigger wheel and the matching sensor pick up the position directly at the crankshaft so that ignition and injection timing can be calculated cleanly.
The MaxxECU gets its base signal directly from the crankshaft, no longer via the old ignition distributor. That is the basis for freely tunable ignition maps and precise injection on your Mercedes 190E.
Compatibility
- 190E 1.8 (W201)
- 190E 2.0 (W201)
- 190E 2.3 (W201)
- 200E (W124)
- 230E (W124)
The whole conversion is also available as a complete package: the EFI Kit for the M102 8V brings all components together as a matched set.
Note
The trigger kit is part of an EFI conversion and requires a matching ECU plus wiring harness.
