With the installation kit you can press the worn ball joints out of the rear knuckle and draw in the included new bearings to guide the control arm securely again.
Common reasons for a swap are play in the ball joint, damaged boots or a squeak, which is why the parts are also often called squeak bushings.
Because of the advanced rear-axle design of the 190E, this press-out tool can also be used on more modern cars. Among them for example later C-Class chassis W202, W203, W204, W205 or E-Class from W124 via W210 to W213. Compare the reference numbers.
