Here we offer you a complete kit for Mercedes W201 6-speed conversions with Mercedes 716 gearboxes. You get a short shifter that not only shortens the shift travel, but also retains the important reverse gear lock. You also get an adapter for the gearshift mechanism, an adjustable coupling rod with ball joint to connect the gearshift mechanism and gearbox and the necessary mounting parts and accessories.
The matching transmission mount for the 6-speed transmission in the W201 chassis and engine mounts for M111 engine conversions in the W201 chassis can also be found in the store.
It is not necessary to cut out the shifter surround with this kit.
Notes
The kit is tested with 6-speed gearbox and M111 conversion. In principle, the kit is also compatible with other engines, but please note that the engine position may vary depending on the conversion and the engine mounts used. The coupling rod can be adjusted in the range of approx. 330 – 360mm. (dimension at the center axis of the mounting points/splints)
The kit can be used with 6-speed gearboxes whose parting line of the aluminum casting mold of the gearbox bell housing points to the upper mounting hole. If you are unsure about the assignment or compatibility, please contact us with a picture of your gearbox bell housing. We are happy to help!
The opening for the switch in the tunnel must be widened during installation. The necessary template is part of the kit.
