With this ring and pinion set, you can equip your W201 16V differential with a 4.30 gear ratio. The gear set is compatible with the original housing, differential, and output flanges.
This gear ratio is well-suited as a good all-around solution for most circuit racing applications and vehicles with stock engines, right up to tuned vehicles. For high-performance engines or certain track layouts, other gear ratios âsuch as 4.78 â may be a better choice.
The product is manufactured from a specially selected steel alloy, followed by a tempering and hardening process to ensure high durability. Finally, each gear set undergoes a machine-based break-in program.

We recommend using a high-quality oil such as Mobil 1 Mobilube SHC 80W-140.
It is normal for this drivetrain to be noisier than a standard one. This will subside after about 100â200 kilometers. An additional surface treatment is available for an extra charge to reduce this effect.
